Best Pets in Steal an Egg: Current Income Targets
Compare current high-income Steal an Egg pet targets, understand base-rate limits, and decide whether a rare hatch improves your real base.
What are the top recorded base-income pets?
| Pet | Biome | Rarity | Tracked base income |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kitsune | Cherry Blossom | Divine | $1.8B/s |
| Unicorn | Cosmic | Divine | $1B/s |
| Oni Tiger | Cherry Blossom | Eternal | $600M/s |
| Lava Dragon | Volcano | Eternal | $100M/s |
| Ice Dragon | Snow | Eternal | $65M/s |
Does the top base rate always win?
No. The final pet card can be affected by mutation and size. A strong variant of a lower-base pet may out-earn a normal copy above it. Compare actual per-second income before replacing anything.
For the filterable table and evidence labels, open the All Pets Index.
How should the tracked table be interpreted?
The table is a list of current community-tracked base-income targets, not a promise that every copy will display the same final contribution. It uses the same post-update scope as the linked pet index. The order can change when a game update changes values or when better evidence corrects a record.
Check the evidence date before planning a long route. A pet name and rarity can remain correct while its income becomes stale. If the live card disagrees, keep the live observation and report the conflict rather than forcing the card to match this page.
What is the real value of replacing a slot?
The upgrade is the candidate’s final contribution minus the contribution of the pet removed. A candidate producing a large number can still be a weak upgrade if the current slot is already close. By contrast, filling an empty slot adds the full contribution.
Calculate both configurations with the same time period. Include mutation, size, and matching copies only once. The income calculator exposes the formula and helps prevent comparison of a base value with an already modified total.
How should route cost affect a target?
A pet that is harder to obtain consumes time and creates failed attempts. Time a complete attempt from the base until you are ready to leave again. Record failures as attempts with no returned egg. Then compare the expected improvement with a safer alternative available during the same play window.
This does not require an invented universal drop rate. Your observed attempts, route time, and current slot difference can answer whether a chase is productive for your account. Recheck when server conditions change materially.
When can a lower-base pet be better?
A lower-base pet can win when its visible mutation or size raises the final card above the alternative, when you own several productive copies, or when it is much easier to obtain reliably. It may also remain the sensible slot while the high-end candidate is only a future goal.
Compare actual final contributions before replacing. Do not discard a modified pet because a tier image ranks an unmodified species higher. Rarity and biome are useful context, but the live contribution decides the immediate income comparison.
How do you choose among the listed targets?
Use this sequence:
- Remove targets from biomes you cannot return from reliably.
- Identify the weakest slot the candidate would replace.
- Compare live or well-labeled values under matching conditions.
- Measure a full acquisition route and include failures.
- Check whether the same time could produce a larger certain upgrade elsewhere.
- Test with a replaceable egg before risking a scarce target.
The “best” remaining target is the one that improves the current base under a route you can sustain. It need not be the first row in the table.
How should Incubator outcomes be evaluated?
Bloom and Spirit Bloom can change a pet comparison, but an Incubator attempt also needs its unlock and resource path. Start with the candidate egg’s value, then compare the possible modified outcomes with the resources and time required. Do not multiply a card value again if the mutation is already reflected.
The Sakura Incubator guide explains the reported process and labels its probabilities as update-sensitive. A rare favorable outcome should not be treated as the guaranteed value of every attempt.
What evidence would change this ranking?
A current live card with clear labels, an official rebalance notice, or multiple independent observations under matching conditions can update a row. A cropped number with no pet identity cannot. A copied table with a newer date but no traceable observation is a lead, not automatic authority.
Submit a correction through Contact with the page URL, pet, visible conditions, source, and check date. Remove usernames and private details. The editorial process reviews the evidence before publication.
How often should you revisit the decision?
Recheck after updates and whenever a new pet would replace one of your strongest slots. For routine play, update the decision when the live card or acquisition route changes rather than refreshing a static ranking every session. The tier-list framework gives a personal scoring method when income alone is not enough.
How should you explain a recommendation to another player?
State the goal first: highest recorded base contribution, safest reachable upgrade, event target, or best replacement for a specific slot. Then name the evidence and the constraint. A recommendation based on a live card and a route the player can complete is different from a theoretical maximum that depends on an inaccessible biome or uncertain chance system.
Show the replacement arithmetic when possible. Compare the candidate’s supported contribution with the occupied slot it would remove, then note acquisition time and failed-run risk separately. This keeps a large headline value from hiding a small practical improvement. If the inputs are missing or update-sensitive, give the verification steps instead of turning uncertainty into a definitive rank.
